MEDIP Transnational Photographic Exhibition at La Galleria (AIDCO) in Brussels
The launch of the MEDIP Transnational Photographic Exhibition was held on the 25th November 2009 at 17h00 at La Galleria (AIDCO) on Rue de la Loi in Brussels. The photographic exhibition was organised by the SOS Malta together with the EuropeAid Cooperation Office and represented a joint effort aimed at facilitating image-based communication on the theme of ‘The Millennium Development Goals and Development Issues'.
The activity took the form of National Photo Competitions held in each of the six participating partner countries. The top three entries of each national competition, along with a number of other selected photographs, were then exhibited at La Galleria between the 25th November 2009 and the 18th December 2009.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Malta's Permanent Representative to the European Union, Ambassador Richard Cachia Caruana. During the exhibition, Ambassador Richard Cachia Caruana presented a commemorative trophy to the winner of the transnational photographic competition. The trophy was collected by Ms Iuliana Rada on behalf of the winning photographer, Mr Silviu Pavel (Romania).
